The purpose of a music video are as followed;
* For artist image, to present them in a certain way*It makes the singer more recognisable and makes the music more memorable as the music would be associated with the music video.
*To sell music because of the video- would improve the sales as not only could they buy the songs but but the video too.
* Provides a visual for the viewer, gives us a clearer image of the genre.
* For the viewers entertainment, if there is humour in the video for example then it will be even more pleasing for the audience.
